Trump Law : Citizenship will not be available at birth in the US
President Donald Trump is going to take a big step to curb the growing population of migrants in America. Actually, they have made up their mind to eliminate the rights of citizenship for the illegal immigrants and non-citizen born children on American soil. Under the current law, any child born in the US, even if her parents are not citizens of the country or she is the child of illegal immigrants, she deserves to be citizenship herself. Thousands of Indians can also be affected by this decision by Trump.
Now Trump is preparing to end this law. The American president is totally against this alleged 'chain migration'. In an interview, Trump said, "Our only one country in the world where people come and the children are born, the child definitely becomes the American citizen for 85 years with all the benefits." He further said, 'It is ridiculous and it should be eliminated.'
If the President takes this decision, it will affect the Indian too. Indeed, thousands of children born to Indian parents (including children of guest worker visas and Visitor Visas Holders) themselves become American citizens every year.
It is worth noting that under the current law, any child born in the United States, regardless of the condition of the parents of the newborn, is considered as a citizen from birth. This child becomes entitled to the rights and privileges of any other American citizen. American birth certificates are also issued after the child's birth.
